VARIETIES

Popular olive varieties were planted from Italy, Greece and Spain . Our Italian and Greek friends told us what they liked. Little did we know that organic production would give character to even the mildest of oil. We have 500 trees for oil and nearly 200 for pickling. Most can be used for oil or table olives and are termed multi purpose..In a couple of years we will be able to sell “VARIETAL” oil.

Rivermist Grove is young ( planted in 1999-2000) and to date we have found the best for oil to be Mission, Paragon, Nevadillo-blanco and Leccino. We also have Frantoio, Corregiolla and Manzanillo. Our wind break is made from Arbaquino and Barnea.
